Playful gorilla - Uganda

Deep in the misty heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, I crouched quietly as a playful juvenile mountain gorilla turned his gaze toward me. For a long, still moment, his bright eyes met mine — curious, unafraid, and full of life.

Being able to sit so close, surrounded by the sounds of the forest, felt both surreal and deeply grounding. It was a privilege to witness him in his wild home, free and thriving. Encounters like this are a reminder of how precious these moments are — and how vital it is to protect the fragile world they depend on.
