Giraffe - South Africa

The giraffe is such an iconic animals. Always recognisable and staple 'must see' amongst safari travellers. I never tire of seeing giraffes in the wild. Their long necks, unique patterns and calm nature (mostly!) make it a peaceful sighting. 

Giraffes are the world’s tallest land animals, with unique coat patterns that help identify individuals and provide camouflage in the wild. Sadly, their populations have declined significantly, and they are now classified as vulnerable due to habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict.
