Koala - Australia

I watched quietly as a koala sat comfortably in the crook of his favourite trunk, slowly pulling leaves into its mouth with those surprisingly strong claws. He wasn’t in a hurry — just enjoying his meal. It's always a privilege to be so close to animals and an even bigger one to work with them and to help save their species. 

Across the country, habitat loss, disease, and climate change are putting pressure on koala populations. Simple moments like this — a koala doing what it’s always done — show why protecting their eucalyptus forests is so important for their survival.
