Zebra - South Africa

Zebras are such fascinating creatures to watch. This one however found watching us in our safari vehicle facsinating too.  Looking directly toward the camera, this zebra allowed me to capture his beauty. The contrast of its black and white stripes against the lush green backdrop was striking, making the animal stand out clearly in the landscape.

No two zebras have the same stripe pattern — each one is as unique as a fingerprint. These patterns help with camouflage in the herd, confuse predators, and may even help regulate body temperature. Seeing one up close makes it easy to appreciate just how distinctive each zebra really is.
