Southern Carmine Bee-eater - Botswana

This photo captures a stunning Southern Carmine Bee-eater in Uganda — one of Africa’s most vibrant and striking birds. With its brilliant plumage and turquoise-blue crown, it stood out beautifully against clear blue sky. Watching these agile birds swoop and dart through the air was mesmerising, and photographing one in perfect light was an absolute highlight of my time in Lake Mburo National Park.
